Los Alamos County, New Mexico, an area in the mountains about 35 miles from Santa Fe, has recorded its activity The healthiest society in America For the third year in a row, according to a recent report by US News and CVS Health.
This year’s Health Communities Rankings are based on ratings of 3,000 communities nationwide across dozens of health and health-related metrics in categories such as education, infrastructure, and population health. For the first time, it also explores factors related to natural disasters and climate justice.

The data, according to US News editor and chief content officer, Kim Castro, “provides deep insight into the state of health equity in our country.”
“When we examine the data on natural hazards, we can see how different demographic populations are affected by the risks associated with their environment,” Castro said.

The data also helps CVS “determine the best way to collaborate with communities to develop.” Sustainable solutions and promotion of health equity In a way that meets their unique needs, said Johnny Khaldoon, CVS’s chief health justice officer.
The healthcare company launched an initiative earlier this year, called Districts of Health, that works to provide “focused local investments designed to reduce health disparities and advance health equity in under-resourced communities,” according to the report.
Recent data from Community Health Rankings It revealed that four of the top 20 healthy communities are located in Northern Virginia. However, communities in Rhode Island, Minnesota, and Iowa have the highest overall average scores, according to the analysis. The data also showed that communities with the lowest scores were found in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

According to the analysis, societies with lower scores in the mental health subcategory typically have higher life expectancy, median household income, and labor force participation. These communities usually suffer from higher poverty rates.

In fact, rural communities are likely to have a higher proportion of adults with recurrent mental disorders, while urban communities are likely to have “a higher share of health care program recipients diagnosed with depression,” according to the report.
